There will be a regular meeting of the CRIMSON board in the Sanctum today at 1.30, p. m.

There will be a course in Latin conversation next year under the charge of Professor Allen.

Among the changes in the course for next year will be the transfer of English 12, the course in composition, from Professor Wendell to Professor Briggs. Professor Wendell will, on the other hand, deliver the lectures in English A to freshmen, instead of Professor Briggs.

Tickets for the concert of the Freshmen Glee and Banjo Club are for sale at Thurston's.

The Crimson nine defeated the Brown-Nicholls school nine last Saturday by a score of 13 to 8.

The Mail and Express is making arrangements whereby it will receive full reports of all the college commencements.

Professor Goodale is to build a house on Chauncy street next the house formerly belonging to the late Professor Young.

An urgent invitatition has been extended to James Russell Lowell to deliver a course of lectures on literature at the John Hopkins University.

It is reported that Professor H. C. G. Von Jayemann, professor of German at the university of Indiana, has accepted a call to Harvard.

The Nineteenth Century club will soon publish articles pertaining to the educational curriculum of Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Columbia.

Games last Saturday; Amherst defeated Yale, at Amherst. Score 5 to 4. Lexington defeated Harvard '89 at Lexington. Score 10 to 8.

The 'Varsity Glee club sang last Saturday night at the Boston Athletic Club. A large audience was present and applauded the well rendered songs heartily. After the concert the Glee club was entertainee, and given an elaborate supper.

Mr. Justin Winsor recently left with his family for St. Louis, to attend the American Libarian Association conference. After the conference closes Mr. Winsor will undoubtedly accompany the association on its excursion down the Mississippi river to New Orleans.

The following is the standard of the Interscholastic Base Ball association at present: Cambridge H. and L., won three, lost none; Roxbury Latin, won three, lost none; Boston Latin, won one, lost none; Brown and Nicholls, won one, lost one; Chauncy Hall, won none, lost two; Hopkinson's, won none lost two; Noble and Hale's won none, lost two.
