Professor J. M. Pierce intends to go to Europe this summer. He will remain there for a year, and will return for the opening of college in October 1890.
Mr. Bolles is still unable to attend to his duties at the office. He will probably be back by the beginning of next week.
Yale plays Princeton today at Princeton. The batteries will likely be Stagg and Poole, and Ames and Brokaw.

The second 'varsity nine will play the freshman this afternoon on Holmes Field at 2.30 p. m. Bingham and Smith will probably be the battery of the second 'varsity nine.
Yesterday afternoon the candidates for the cricket team met in Capt. Brown's room. The object was to divide the men into two squads one of which will practice daily from 3 to 5, while the other will practice daily from 4 to 6.
The practice game yesterday afternoon between the sophomores and the freshmen was stopped by the rain after a few innings had been played. Wood and Babbitt were the battery for the sophomore nine, with Hill and Bell for the freshmen.
