On account of the new regulations in regard to registering, this morning will see all of the students back in Cambridge. Today is the beginning of the last and shortest term of the year, a term that is by far the pleasantest as well as the most filled with hard work, both in study and athletics. This season is especially the athletic season of the year. It is the time when the real work of the year must be done, the faults of the winter and spring corrected, when every effort must be made to wrest victory from our rivals on field and water in the games and races that are now close at hand.
During the recess the class and 'varsity crews have been hard at work on the river; the freshman nine has had a number of men in training and they have been hard at work during the vacation; the 'varsity nine on its trip and after its return has played three games with leading professional nines. During the week the tennis courts on Jarvis and Holmes have been put in thorough order and are now ready for use.
In the ensuing term we have an opportunity to retrieve our ill-luck in athletics for the past three years and once more win for Harvard. The CRIMSON extends its best wishes for success.
