A. H. Swayne has resigned the presidency of the Yale freshman navy. Lyman has been elected in his place.

Mr. Sanderson will speak tonight at the regular meeting of the Conference Francaise, on "the Man of the Iron Mask."

C. G. Psotta, Cornell's Commodore, having won the amateur championship of America, has decided to go to England next summer, to contest the World's Championship. He will row in the Henley regatta.

The Yale alumni association of Orange. N. J., gave a banquet last Friday evening. A quartet from the second 'varsity Glee club sang.

The lately formed "University Club" will probably have the use of the house on the corner of Kirkland and Oxford streets.

A committee of undergraduates at Yale has been appointed to help collect subscriptions for the new gymnasium. The committee numbers twenty-four men.

The candidates for the Cornell nine are being coached by Richardson, of the New Yorks. It is probable that the nine will take an eastern tour in June.

About thirty men are now training for the Yale Freshman nine. They are now practicing daily at the Field in batting and base sliding, as well as in general team play.

Six cups have been offered to the U. of Penn. class winning the interclass championship in rowing, baseball, general athletics, tug-of-war, tennis and cricket.

In the Oxford-Cambridge race on next Saturday, Cambridge puts in her boat the same victorious crew of last year and the chances are strongly in favor of a victory for Cambridge.

Yale has already organized its consolidated baseball team, which is to develop material and give practice to the university club. Last year the club was supported by subscriptions, and paid the subscribers over ten per cent on the value of the stock subscribed.
