Mr. Locke will train the freshmen Glee Club.

All the second freshman crew will be sent to a training table until Easter.

Peter, '90, has been appointed captain, and King, manager, of the Yale consolidated nine.

The freshman football trophy cups have been finished with the exception of the engraving.

William F. Tilton, formerly of '90, is lying dangerously ill at Canbury, N. C. His father has been summoned from Newport.

Murphy, the trainer, will take charge of the men who are training for the intercollegiate team, next Monday.- Yale News.

The Harvard-Pennsylvania cricket match will be played on the grounds of the Philadelphia cricket club at Wissahickon, May 25th.

Yale students pulled over the statue of Professor Benjamin Silliman last Monday night. If the offenders are found they will probably be suspended.

The Amherst Andover club was recently addressed by Professor Comstock, of Andover, and many of the Amherst faculty who students at Andover.

A nine is about to be organized at the Yale Divinity School. All the candidates are well known players and a strong team will doubtless be put in the field.

Miss Mary A. Brigham, of Brooklyn, has been chosen president of the Mt. Holyoke Seminary. She has twice been offered the presidency of Wellesley, and once a professorship at Smith College. She will assume her duties next fall.

The freshman crew is now rowing as follows: Stroke, Watriss; 7, Kidder; 6, Goddard; 5, Stedman; 4, Porter; 3, Rantoul. the two bow men will be selected from Hubbard, Powers, Dewey and Cheney, with Jones and Hunt as substitutes. The crew is being coached by Alexander, L. S., and will go to a training table next Monday.
