F. Newell, '92, who played right tackle on the freshman eleven, hurt his arm quite seriously in the gymnasium on Monday.

The new board of editors of the Yale News has been published. No freshman editor has as yet been appointed, owing to the closeness of the competition.

The authorities of the Harvard Boat Club have sent a letter to Columbia in which it is stated that Harvard cannot row an eight-oared race with Columbia at New London next spring.

Professor Chaplin has been obliged to give up his work temporarily on account of trouble with his eyes. He sailed yesterday for Europe, where he will spend the rest of the term. His courses will be under the charge of Mr. Wait, of the Scientific School, and Messrs. Swan and Kettell.

In the whist tournament, Herrick and About defeated Baker and Denny three games to none; Brown and Darling defeated Dickson and Chamberlin three to naught; Dickson and Chamberlin defeated Rogers and De Normandie three to one; Everett and Burlingham defeated Dickson and Chamberlin three to two.

Members of Division A in Political Economy I will read for Monday, Feb. 25, chapter 1 of Book I of Cairnes' "Leading Principles of Political Economy." Members of Division B will read chapter 1 of Hadley's "Railroad Transportation." Division A will meet in U. 16, and Division R in U. 4, as directed in posted notices. There will be sections meeting at 9 and 10 o'clock as before.
