Dr. Ward, of the Philosophy department, is to deliver a course of four lectures on Anthropology in Sever 11, beginning February 18th, and continuing on the three following Monday evenings. The science of anthropology is one of very recent growth, not more than thirty years, and very few treatises have been written upon it for the benefit of the public. E. W. Tyler, of England, has perhaps done more than any one else to make this widely known.

Dr. Ward is a man thoroughly read on his subject and every one who can should avail himself of the opportunity of learning something about a subject so seldom lectured upon.

On February 18, the subject of the lecture will be "Modern Anthropology, its History, Method and Sphere." February 25, "Man's Origin, Antiquity and Development." March 5, "Anthropology and Sociology. March 12, "Benefits of Anthropological Study." The lectures will be made as clear and interesting as possible by means of charts, diagrams and blackboard drawings, and each person will be presented with a synopsis of each lecture.
