In Hastings a few days ago a water tank, situated over number 43 overflowed, leaked through the ceiling and spoiled a great part of the furniture.

A bonus of $50 is offered to any man who will rent 3 Hastings. This will make the cost of the room for the rest of the year only $200. The original rent was $325.

Each man in History I will bring a blue book and a blank map to the next recitation. An hour examination will be held either Tuesday or Thursday of next week.

The marks of the last examination in History 2 were given out in Massachusetts yesterday afternoon. the second examination will be held next Tuesday.

S. M. J. Wood, Trinity college, Cambridge and the Hon. F. J. N. Thesiger, Magdalen college Oxferd, have been elected captain of the cricket eleven of 1890 of their respective universities.

Justices of the U. S. Supreme court, except Justice Miller, are regular college graduates. President Harrison and secretary of Interior Noble are alumni of Miami university, which has given then both the degree of LL. D.

Nineteen members of the freshman class in the Yale Scientific school have been suspended on account of their low standing in Latin. If they do not pass the examination before the January term begins, they will be dropped altogether.

There will be an hour examination in N. H. 4 on Friday December 20. The examination will be held in Sever and will determine the rank for the first half year. Examination will be held in History 12 next week, and in History 11 Friday, December 20.
