The expectations of a well played and closely contested game with Pennsylvania were fully realized and the one sided score does not show how hard Harvard had to work to win. Pennsylvania played a hard and tricky game and was only kept from scoring by the sharpest work. Several times the ball was carried the length of the field by short, quick rushes, which the Harvard rush line seemed unable to check. The other weak points in Harvard's play were poor passing, fumbling by the halfbacks, and inability of the rush line to hold their opponents long enough to give the fullback a fair chance to kick. The team played hard and in spite of the unsteadiness at times, there is good ground of encouragement in the strong rushing and blocking, and quick energetic work.
