Week-day morning prayers at 8.45 a. m. No seats are assigned, either for officers or classes.

Rev. Phillips Brooks, D. D., will conduct prayers from November 22, to December 14.

The preacher conducting morning prayers may be found at Wadsworth House 1 every week-day during his term of service.

The vesper service of Thanksgiving week will take place on Tuesday, November 26 at 5 p. m. Garrett's Harvest Cantata will be sung. ENGLISH B.

A talk on Style in Literature will be given in Sever 11, on Tuesday, November 26 at 2 o'clock.

Theme IV., a description, will be due on Tuesday, December 3.

Themes are to be deposited in the wooden box outside the door of Gray's 18 not later than 4 o'clock. By the regulations no overdue theme will be accepted unless the writer satisfies the Secretary that his failure to present it at the proper time was caused by serious illness or other unavoidable hindrance.

Every student is required to follow implicitly the directions with regard to paper, folding, endorsing, etc., given on the English Composition card. LECTURES ON GERMAN LITERATURE. During December three more introductory lectures will be delivered to freshmen by instructors in the German department. They will be given on Thursdays at 2 p m, in Sever 11. The subjects are as follows.

December 5, Lessing. Asst. Professor von Jagemann.

December 12, Goethe and Schiller. Asst. Professor Bartlett.

December 19, the Romantic School and the Beginnings of Germanic Philology. Asst. Professor von Jagemann. LECTURES ON GREEK ARCHAEOLOGY.

The Museum of Comparative Zoology the Peabody Museum of Archaeology, and the Mineralogical Museum in Boylston Hall, are open to the public every week-day from 9 till 5.

The Botanic Garden is open Sundays as well as week days.

The library in Gore Hall is open Sundays during term-time from 1 till 5 o'clock for the use of members of the university only.

The rooms of the Fine Arts department in Sever hall are open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 5 o'clock.
