ENGLISH B.A talk on Reading will be given in Sever 11 on Tuesday, November 19, at 2 o'clock.

Theme II. will be returned to the writers from 3 until 4 o'clock. Themes not called for at that time will be kept for one week at Grays 18, where the writers may call for them during office hours. After the expiration of one week no theme will be returned to the writer.

Theme III., A Narrative, will be due on Tuesday, November 19. It must be deposited in the wooden box outside the door of Gray's 18 not later than 4 o'clock. By the regulations no overdue theme will be accepted unless the writer satisfies the Secretary that his failure to present it at the proper time was caused by serious illness or other unavoidable hindrance.

Every student is required to follow implicitly the directions with regard to paper, folding, endorsing, etc., given on the English Composition card.

ELOCUTION.Mr. Hayes will meet the voluntary classes in Elocution on Mondays and Fridays at 2 p. m.

ENGLISH C AND ENGLISH D.A talk on Persuasion will be given in Sever 11 on Thursday, November 21, at 12 o'clock and at 3.

The first forensic will be due at 24 Grays hall, Wednesday, November 20.

After Tuesday next the consultation hours of Mr. Baker and Mr. Thompson will be omitted until further notice.

LECTURES ON GERMAN LITERATURE.During November and December six introductory lectures on German literature will be delivered to the freshmen by instructors in the German department. They will be given on Thursdays at 2 p. m. in Sever 11. The remaining subjects are as follows:

November 21-Luther as a writer. Asst. Professor Francke.

December 5-Lessing. Asst. Professor von Jagemann.

December 12-Goethe and Schiller. Asst. Professor Bartlett.

December 19-The Romantic School and the Beginning of German Philology. Asst. Professor von Jagemann.

These lectures are open to all members of the university.

VESPERS.The Vesper Services will begin on Thursday, November 21.

The Vesper Service of Thanksgiving week will take place on Tuesday, November 26, at 5 p. m. Garrett's Harvest Cantata will be sung.

MISCELLANEOUS.The Museum of Comparative Zoology the Peabody Museum of Archaeology, and the Mineralogical Museum in Boylston Hall, are open to the public every week-day from 9 till 5.

The Botanic Garden is open Sundays as well as week days.

The library in Gore Hall is open Sundays during term-time from 1 till 5 o'clock for the use of members of the university only.

The rooms of the Fine Arts department in Sever hall are open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 5 o'clock.
