Harvard Statistics.

Evidence of the constant growth of Harvard university is to be found in the increased number of students enrolled this year. Although there has been a slight decrease in a few departments, the loss is more than balanced by the gains in the other departments. As estimated at present the following is the number of students in the college proper:

Complete returns of the members onrolled in the other departments of the university have not been made as yet and the number can only be estimated approximately. As near as can be calculated the gains and losses in the other departments will be as follows:

It will seen from the above that the total gain in all departments of the university is 158, which is greater than the gain of any previous year since President Eliot has been at the head the university.
