The Sophomore class met in Upper Massachusetts last night for the annual election of officers. After the minutes of the last meeting, had been read, the presiden stated the object of the meeting, and declared himself ready to receive nominations for the office of president. The names of Mr. Rantoul and Mr. Landon were placed in nomination. A committee of three consisting of the secretary of the class, and a representative of each of the candidates, was appointed to receive the ballots, and the class proceeded to a vote. The vote resulted in the election of Mr. Rantoul, he receiving 116 votes, and Mr. Landon 92. The election was then made unanimous. The other officers were elected by acclamation as follows: vice-president, Newell; secretary and treasurer, Follensbee; captain of the crew, Powers; captain of the eleven, Forbes; captain of the nine, Cummings. After enthusiastically cheering all of the successful candidates the meeting adjourned.
