There has been considerable complaint lately of the rule at Memorial which requires a week's notice to be given before leaving the hall. This complaint is made not in behalf of those who wish to leave the hall, but for the many who are on the waiting list. There is no doubt that the rute is wise in many ways, and one that should be strictly adhered to in the ordinary condition of affairs. At this time, however, there seems to be every reason for a temporary suspension of the regulation in question. As things stand at present, each extra week which a man intending to leave the hall must stay, gives added inconvenience to the men on the waiting list who are anxious to become regular boarders as soon as possible. When it is remembered that there are over one hundred and fifty men on the waiting list, it will be seen that the number who would be accommodated by the temporary change is by no means small. It is in behalf of these men alone that we make known this complaint to the directors. We trust, therefore, that they will give the matter their careful consideration.
