A New Telescope.

A new telescope for photographing stars has just been completed by Abram Clark and Sons for the Harvard Observatory. The instrument is now in position at the observatory, equatorially mounted while its movements are controlled by clock work which is directly connected with a chronometer in the main building.

The lens which was formerly in use, has been reground so that the color connection and spherical aberration have been changed.

The new instrument was purchased from the Draper fund and makes a valuable addition to the astronomical department of the university.
