At length the long desired fire-escapes and hand-grenades have been put in the college dormitories and the students who room above the first floor, thanks to the requirements of the law, may now feel a certain degree of safety at night. It is our sincere hope at the beginning of this college year that all measures conducive to the safety and convenience of the students will be taken by those in authority.
