The Bicycle Club will have a run to Auburndale today, and will dine at Woodlawn Park.

It is reported that Woodruff, No. 5 of the Yale crew, has sprained his knee. Hartwell will take his place.

Professor Torrey has been suggested as a candidate for the approaching election to the board of Overseers.

The freshmen of the Polytechnic Intitute of Troy, N. Y., who were raising a banner for '92 men, were chased and fired at by a policeman.

Mr. C. H. C. Wright, Harvard '90, has been appointed secretary and treasurer of the Oswego Summer School of Languages, to be held at Oswego, N. Y., from July 9 to August 18, and of which Prof. Adolphe Cohn, assistant professor of French at Harvard, is one of the principals. Mr. Wright will conduct a class in French at the school and will explain the elements of Volapuk if a sufficient number of the pupils desire it.

Mr. Hayes will be at Holden Chapel this afternoon at three o'clock to see members of the junior and senior classes who think of choosing English 10.

In the class games at Princeton, Monday, the college record in putting the shot was broken by Janeway, '88. His best put was 37 ft. 5 in., which is 6 inches ahead of the previous record.

The annual competition for the Carpenter prizes for declamation was held at Brown, Monday. The winners were H. W. Watjen, F. O. Merrifield and F. M. Sackett.

At a meeting of the Signet last evening the following officers were elected: President, H. H. Darling; secretary, F. E. Zinkeisen; treasurer, C. H. Moore; librarian, W. F. Richards.

The injury to Gallivan's ankle is not so serious as was thought at first. A ligament is strained but not broken, and may be in good condition before the Yale game.

The Class Day exercises were held at Princeton on Monday. The speakers were E. O. Wagenhurst, who delivered the salutatory; J. H. Pershing, orator; F. L. Drummond, poet; W. Wyckoff, ivy orator.

The University of Cincinnati has begun two games of chess with Princeton by correspondence. Each side moves first in one game. The University is also engaged in a correspondence match with Columbia.

Yale runners broke three records in a series of races held on Friday. C. H. Sherrill, '89, ran 220 yards in 22 4-5s., and 250 yards in 25 4-5s., lowering Myers' record for the latter distance by 1-5s. In the second trial he covered 125 yards in 12 3-5s., tieing Baker's record, and finished the 150 yards in 15s., beating Brooks' record of 15 1-8s. Berger ran the 120 yards hurdle race in 16 3-5s., breaking the college but not the American amateur record.
