Professor Chaplin, Dean of the Scientific School, has recently made arrangements by which the mechanical drawings made by the members of the courses Engineering I and II will be on exhibition during commencement week in the rooms of the Lawrence School. These drawings will be of especial interest as evidence of scientific thought, and also as pieces of excellent draftmanship. This idea of Professor Chaplin is a worthy one, and should commend itself not only to those students of Harvard who are interested in the success of all departments of the University, but also to such outsiders as are interested in the engineering problems of the day. We sincerely hope that the experiment will meet such success as will make it a custom of the future, and we bespeak for it the hearty co-operation of every member of the University.
