The Columbia freshmen surprised every one on Decoration Day by beating the Dauntless eight, a "crack" New York crew, in a mile straightaway race on the Harlem river. The distance was covered in 5m. 22s.

All students desiring to consult Professor Cohn about French electives for next year will find him in the evenings until June 7 at 56 Buckingham street, Cambridge, and on Tuesdays, Thursday and Friday from 9 to 10 o'clock.

The dedication of the headquarters of the Cincinnati Press Club in the Exposition Building constructed for the centennial celebration of the Ohio Valley and Central States, is to take place June 9. Many prominent newspaper men are expected to be present at the ceremonies.
