In the fourth round in the singles, played yesterday, Lee beat Snow-6-1, 6-4. In the final singles, Shaw beat Lee-6-1, 6-2, 1-6, 8-6. This was an exhibition of very fine tennis. Shaw drove the ball hard and accurately first on one side-line and then on the other. He won the first two sets handily. In the third, Lee braced, playing his backhanded shots with good effect, and took the set. At the beginning of the fourth set, both players struggled hard for the lead. The first game was deuce and vantage at least a dozen times. The rest of the set was a long, close struggle, but Shaw won by pretty placing. 8-6.

Tailer will play Hale, and Lee will play Rogers, in the morning, for second place. The winners will play after the single exhibition match between Shaw, '91, and P. S. Sears, '89, which will be played at 3 p.m. on the Beck Hall courts. This ought to be a good exhibition. Saturday, at 3 p. m., on Beck Hall courts, Tallant and Lee, winners of the tournament, will play Tailer and Snow.
