At a meeting of the freshman crew, held Thursday, the resignation of Captain Bishop was acted upon and accepted. Mr. Bishop was obliged to resign on account of ill-health, his physician refusing to allow him to row again this year. It was voted to extend hearty thanks to Mr. Bishop for the very efficient manner in which the crew has been managed by him. Cumnock was unanimously elected captain for the remainder of the year, and he immediately reappointed Brooks manager.
