Mr. Hayes will use Sanders' Theatre in the afternoon till further notice for the Boylston prize speaking. In the morning, the theatre will be open for those who wish to use it.
The '89 crew expected to row a scratch race with a crew from the Bradford Club, Saturday afternoon, but the Bradfords could not get a crew together. A short race will probably be rowed this afternoon.
On Saturday afternoon a practice game of cricket was played at Longwood between Longwood and Harvard. The following men who are candidates for the eleven took part: From '88-Paul, Sullivan; from '89-Ellis, G. P. Butters, W. H. Butters, Bayer; from '90-R. D. Brown, O. B. Judson, C. F. Judson, Barney, Norman, Balch; from 91-Keene, Knapp, Osgood, Leary, Van Rennselaer; also Frost, L. S., and Quimby, Gr.
Dr. Edward H. Hall preached at Appleton Chapel last evening from the text: "I will not let thee go unless thou press me." The preacher described the many temptations which assail men on every hand and the moral strength derived from the struggles against them.
The last performance of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals was given Saturday evening in Union Hall, Boston. Every seat in the house was filled and many people were standing in the aisles. New "gags" and imitations were given and the whole performance was a great success.
