Mr. Lodge's lecture on Protection last night was a striking instance of what a body of students clubbed together in a particular purpose can do for the benefit of their college. To the Finance Club we are indebted for one of the most instructive lectures ever given in Sanders Theatre. We are essentially the disciples of Free Trade at Harvard, and it is only fair that the other side should have a chance to defend itself. Such an opportunity was given last night, and though we may still cling to our free trade dogmas we are at least gratificd to hear a manly and independent exposition of the doctrines of our dissenting brethren.
