The south stretch of the track on Holmes Field has been extended towards North Avenue, making a straight away course of 150 yards. This has been done in order that the hurdle race may be over a straight course. On a curved track the outside men have a great disadvantage, as the distances between the hurdles are not the same at the inside and outside of the tracks. The low hurdle race in the spring meeting will be for one hundred forty-six and two-thirds yards-two-thirds of the regular intercollegiate distance.
