Prof. Goodale gives tonight the first of his twelve lectures in the Lowell Institute course. Subject: "Forests and Forest Products." Tomorrow night the second one will be given on "Structure and Form."

The annual reunion of the class of '86, B. L. S., will be held at Young's next Friday evening.

There will be athletic sports in Mechanics' Hall this afternoon, and a concert by Reeves' Band and Regimental Drum Corps this evening, under the auspices of the First Regiment Infantry.

A meeting will be held tonight in Tremont Temple to raise money to build a hall to the memory of Wendell Phillips. Governor Ames, Gen. Butler, Dr. McGlynn and others will make addresses.

The Natural Science lecture in B. Y. M. C. A. Hall, tonight, will be by Prof. Alpheus Hyatt, curator of the Boston Natural History Society, on "A Practical Examination of the Evidence for Evolution."
