Our correspondent suggests that the spring vacation be changed so as to include Easter Sunday. The suggestion is a good one, and the adoption of it would be a boon to such of us as live in other cities than Boston. Those who live here all the year round can be at home on Easter Day. But it is not so with the others. If we remember aright, when the suggestion to lengthen the Christmas recess was brought up last year, the faculty replied that the power lay not in their hands, but in those of the overseers. Our correspondent has done well in agitating the matter thus early; for there will be plenty of time for the faculty to bring the question before the Board of Over seers if it meets with their approval. It would seem to be a very simple thing to begin the vacation on the Saturday before Easter and have college reopen on the following Monday week-thus having the double advantage of giving us Easter at home and of starting in again at the beginning of a week, instead of in the middle. We hope the faculty will consider the plan favorably.
