At the close of the last college year Rochester University suffered a double loss, in the withdrawal from its faculty of two of its strongest and most popular members, Pres. Martin B. Anderson, and Dr. Harrison E. Webster, who was recalled to his Alma Mater, Union College, as its president.
The University has been extremely fortunate in securing, to fill Prof. Auderson's place, Dr. David J. Hill, late president of Bucknell University, Pennsylvania. He is a profound student, a trained and skilful administrator and an author of text-books which have been adopted by some of the leading universities of the country.
