Marshall Field, '91, has gone to Egypt.

The hour examination in Pol. Econ. 4 will be held today at 11 a. m. in Mass. 3.

The next meeting of the St. Paul's Society will not be held until after the Christmas recess.

Professor Norton has requested all men taking Fine Arts 3 as an extra to resign from the course, and to send him notice of their resignation.

Mr. Walter C. Camp, the veteran Yale player, will have an article, entitled "Hints to Foot-Ball Captains," in the January number of Outing. The subject is dealt with from a thoroughly practical point of view.

Professor Castroni wishes to correct the statement in Tuesday's CRIMSON that the price of fencing lessons were only 25 cents. He desires to state that the lessons are that price taken in a class between the hours of 4 and 5.

Latin B hour examination on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 10 o'clock, in Sever 37.

The ice on the Glacialis was not strong enough to bear yesterday afternoon; but after the cold of last night it will probably be thick enough today to afford safe skating. The ice towards the middle of the pond is very thin and is dangerous to venture on.

The Technology Foot-ball Association has elected the following officers for next year: President, Hamilton, '90; vice-presidents, Clement, '90, and Germer, '91; secretary and treasurer, Hills, '90; manager of the eleven, H. M. Waite, '90. The captain of the eleven will be elected by the members of the team this week.

Immediately after the holidays the candidates for the Yale University nine will begin to practice batting daily in the cage, and continue this work until about March 1st, when they will go into active training. The following men will be among the candidates: Day, '89 S., Traver, '89 S., Calhoun, '91, Dalzell, '91, N. McClintock, '91, W. McClintock, '91, Parker, '91, Heffelfinger, '91 S., Jones, '92, and McClung, '92.

The games in the chess tournament are being played, off rapidly and there will soon be no question about the contestants in the final round. In section A, Sturgis' victory over Chamberlain assureshim of a place in the finals. Webster beat Chamberlin, and will undoubtedly also play in the next round. The winnners of the games in section C yesterday are F. M. Brown, who beat Hale; Black, who beat Powers and Pearson; Powers, who beat Pearson; and Hale, who beat Pearson. In section D, Greenleaf and Taussing both won from Brackett, and E. A. Darling drew with Taussing.
