In the games of the Manhattan Athletic Club on election day, four records were broken by Conneff and Mitchell. In the two mile run, Conneff lowered the American records for 1 1-4 and 1 3-4 miles, and lacked only 4 5-8 seconds of equalling the best time for the two miles.
