Editors Daily Crimson:

The lectures on Eastern Civilization by Professor Toy have drawn such crowds that Boylston Hall has been utterly inadequate to accommodate them. Besides, the seats are so uncomfortable and the ventilation so wretched that the hall is quite unfit for the purpose. Last winter the lecture room in the Jefferson Laboratory was used several times and did not prove to be any too large for the audiences. It has all the necessary arrangements for using the stereoption and, besides, has none of the disadvantages of the other hall. Many more students would attend the lectures if they could be assured of a comfortable seat and breathing room. There will probably be several courses of lectures during the winter similar to that of Professor Toy and if the faculty would adopt this suggestion, I think they would be much more enjoyable and successful.
