Two important meetings take place this evening in Upper Massachusetts: the meeting of the Harvard Athletic Association at seven o'clock, and that of the Boat Club at eight. In the past two or three years it has become the fashion for the students to disregard these meetings, or at least to send a very small representation to them. Such a state of affairs is radically wrong. This matter is one that should interest all the graduates, and they should show their interest by attending the meeting. Especially should their support be given at such a crisis as this, when our athletics most need support. The meetings have been called within an hour of each other, in the same evening and in the same place, for the convenience of those who wish to attend. We sincerely hope that this call will not go unheeded, but that at both meetings there may be a large attendance, in order that the views of the college at large may be well represented. We cannot expect success in athletics unless we give our support morally as well as financially.
