Last evening the Rev. Phillips Brooks, of Boston, delivered an interesting address to the members of the St. Paul's Society. He congratulated the society upon its growth and the high standing which it has attained in the college. He then spoke of the position of the Christian man in the University. A true Christian, the speaker said, was a follower of Jesus, and one who was not ashamed to own it. Christianity is not a sect or division of religion, it is the universal religion or none at all.
We ought not to be afraid of losing our faiths in college but rather be thankful that we are to undergo experiences which shall be food for Christianity.
