The first service of the term was held in Appleton Chapel last evening. It was conducted by the Rev. T. C. Williams, Rev. William Lawrence and Rev. Alexander McKenzie. Rev. E. E. Hale delivered an impressive sermon on the text, "I am the way," after which earnest addresses were ma e by Prof. F. G. Peabody and Rev. Phillips Brooks. Music sung by the chapel choir during the evening added to the interest of the services. The chapel was well filled with students and others.
