The Rev. Dr. Huntington, rector of Grace Church. New York, will preach in the Chapel tomorrow evening at 7.30.

A team of undergraduates is going to going to play a game of hockey with a Jamaica Plain eleven to-day at 2.30 on Jamaica Pond.

The Pierian Sodality gives concerts on the 13th, 14th and 16th of this month at the Boston Art Club, Wellesley College and Medford.

A new lease of life is entered upon today at Adam's. The dividing partitions have all been removed and one pool and three billiard tables have taken the place of several of the eating tables. These will be ready for use today.

Eleven candidates presented themselves for the senior crew Wednesday. Captain Hale was the only member of last year's actual crew, but with the exception of Messrs. Lent, Looker and Gitterman the men have all been candidates before.

Twenty-one candidates for the freshman nine attended the meeting called Thursday evening by Capt. Bates. Capt. Henshaw was present and made a few remarks concerning the present deplorable condition of base-ball in college and the great necessity for hard work during the coming year.

About fifty men presented themselves yesterday as candidates for the Mott Haven Team, These men will at once go into regular training at the gymnasium.

A new theatre called the "Grand Opera House" will be opened in Boston next Monday evening. The new building occupies the site of the Old Columbia skating rink on Washington street, near Dover. It will have a seating capacity of 2900 and standing room for 1000.

Seven of the surviving members of the class of 1829, Harvard, held a reunion at the Parker House Thursday evening. They were the Rev. J. F. Clarke, Dr. O. W. Holmes, E. D. Sohier, the Rev. Dr. S. F. Smith, Charles S. Storrow, the Rev. S. A. Devens and Samuel May. Dr. Holmes presided.
