By the will of the late William Hilton of Boston, Harvard, Amherst and Williams receive $50,000 each to aid meritorious students in getting an education.

The French department is greatly handicapped now by the enforced absences of Professor Bocher and the sickness of Mr. Sanderson, and to meet the difficulty a new instructor has just been obtained.

The collection, just voted as a gift to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts by the Egypt Exploration Fund of London includes several large pieces from Rubastis and Nebeskeh. The temple at Rubastis, according to Herodotus, was the most beautiful in Egypt.

The Washington Harvard Club met Wednesday afternoon and elected these officers: President, the Hon. George B. Loring; vice-presidents, Wm. A. Richardson, Walter S. Cox, J. R. Foley, Charles S. Fairchild, W. C. Wintock; treasurer, John Sydney Webb; secretary, Wm. G. Webster.

For the benefit of the many men who use the telegraph, it is announced that hereafter the office in Harvard Square will be open constantly from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sundays 9 to 10.30 a.m., and 5 to 8 p.m.

The class of '84, of the Boston Latin School, held its fourth annual reunion on Wednesday evening at Young's. There were 25 members present and the following officers were elected for the year: President, H. H. Turner; secretary, F. E. Davis; poet, S. F. McCleary; orator, Hermann Page; historian, L. H. Paddock; toastmaster, C. H. Harwood; chorister, L. E. Lovejoy.

ROXBURY LATIN SCHOOL, '84.

The fourth annual reunion of the class of '84, of the Roxbury Latin School, was held at Young's Wednesday evening, 19 members being present. J. H. Sears presided and F. G. Balch officiated as toast-master. Officers were elected as follows: President, J. H. Sears; vice president, A. P. Butler; secretary, F. H. Means; toastmaster, F. G. Balch.
