Delegates from Yale, Princeton and Harvard base-ball teams, met in New York, at the Fifth avenue Hotel, Saturday evening, and held a secret session to consider the programme for the next season.
Dr. S. L. Schultz, of Washington, has just been placed in charge of Cornell's experiment station. A few months ago an appropriation was made to establish four experimental station, but not till recently was the placing determined. They are distributed as follows: One at Washington; the second at the Rose Polytechnic School, Terre Haute, Ind.; a third at the Massachu-chusetts Institute of Technology, and the fourth at Cornell. Dr. T. C. Mendenhall, of the Rose Polytechnic, will direct the work of these stations for a year. Their work will be to establish laws governing atmospheric electricity, and comparing these laws with the laws of the variations of the barometer.
