EDITORS DAILY CRIMSON:- I noticed in Saturday's issue of the CRIMSON a communication complaining of the negligence of the German department in reserving books in the library. Perhaps it will relieve the writer's mind to hear his complaint is based upon insufficient knowledge of facts.
1. The books reserved in Alcove 4, under the head of "German Department," are not, as the writer asserts, confined to the works of Lessing, Schiller and Goethe, but comprise the standard works on the literary history of Germany from the Middle Ages to the present time.
2. In Alcove 25, under the head of "German Selections," Prof. Bartlett has collected representative works of contemporary German fiction; and as time goes on, this category will be supplemented.
