EDITORS DAILY CRIMSON: As there has been some dissatisfaction expressed because the Glee Club did not sing Monday night after the Princeton game, allow me briefly to explain why the concert in the yard was given up contrary to expectation.

The ball game with Princeton has for a number of years been followed by a serenade given in honor of the Princeton nine and its supporters. But last Monday the Princeton men left Cambridge immediately after the game so that there was no occasion for a serenade, and considering the result of the game, no occasion for joyful demonstration. Furthermore the evening was damp and disagreeable, sufficient excuse in itself for not singing. An item in yesterday morning's CRIMSON states that ".several parties of ladies and gentlemen waited in the yard in the rain for half an hour or more for the Glee Club to sing." They must have been "daft" if they expected us to pipe our tuneful bags under the protection of umbrellas. Seriously speaking, however, I do not think that under the circumstances the Glee Club committed any breach of faith in postponing the concert.

In closing let me say that the Club expects to sing in the yard during June at least once a week. It is a difficult matter to get the fellows together oftener than that during the examination period

Pres., H. G. C.
