The Beacons play Harvard on Holmes Field this afternoon at 3 o'clock.
Bingham and Henshaw will be the battery for Harvard in the game with Beacons this afternoon.
There will be a concert given on Cambridge Common evening by the American Watch Company Band.
The catcher for the Beacons to-day is an old Andover man, and is an excellent all round player. He enters the Harvard Medical School next year.
Mr. Frederick H. Ringe of Cambridge has announced his intention of giving the ground and building for a Public Library. The lot is bounded by Broadway, Trowbridge, Irving and Cambridge streets.
All the professors at Andover, on trial for heresy have been acquitted except Egbert C. Smyth, Brown professor of ecclesiastical history. The chair in this branch has been declared vacant.
The Dartmouth nine has finished its schedule, having won ten games and lost two Williams still has three games to play, one with Brown and two with Amherst, all of which she must win in order to the Dartmouth.
