We publish to-day a further communication in regard to the Williams matter. As for the professionalism charged, nothing can be asserted definitely until the meeting of the judiciary committee of the Intercollegiate Base-Ball Association takes place, when the question will be passed upon and a decision reached. If the affidavits made by the persons concerned are accepted, there will remain nothing more to be said, for the college world must then consider the question settled.

The foot-ball matter is somewhat different. Williams waited at least six days before she answered Harvard in regard to playing a game with her, a delay that was unwarranted. For it left Harvard in the dark in regard to the day in question, which was Saturday and consequently an important date in making up a schedule. Williams offered Harvard and Yale the same days, and when both had accepted for the 23rd of October decided to play Yale in preference to Harvard; such is the gist of the matter. Our readers may judge for themselves.
