About twenty Yale students of the various classes have for the past few weeks made up their minds that they would gather together the "convicts," or in other words those who had been arrested. So Monday night a banquet was held at Gus Traeger's. There were twenty covers and an elaborate menu. The guests were those who had been arrested and had paid fines during the year. They were not known by name, but by number. They filed into the dining hall in the usual lockstep used in the penitentiaries. Such toasts as "Cops," "Nippers," "Bail," "Jugs," "Bars," "Beak," "Fines," etc., were responded to. The statistician of the occasion found that the city was $500 richer for the guests having been residents of Yale College. The misdemeanors for which the guests had been fined were stealing signs, building bonfires and singing hilarious songs, - Globe.
