The members of the Yale foot-ball team were given their trophies yesterday. They are miniature gold footballs an inch long, and about half an inch in diameter. On one side is inlaid in blue enamel the name of the owner and the "Champion," 1883, and on the other side the letters "Y. U. F. B. C.," and "Points Won 489, lost 4." They were made by Ford, and are of tasty design.
Efforts are being made at Cornell to have the brass band play at the winter meeting.
