Candidates for the '87 tug-of-war team will meet at the gymnasium at four to-day.
E. S. LITCHFIELD, Capt.FRESHMAN GLEE CLUB. - Important business meeting this evening at 7 o'clock sharp in Boylston. Rehearsal with Mr. Locke at 7.30. All must come.
There will be a very important meeting of the Pierian Sodality in Roberts Hall, this (Thursday) afternoon at 4 o'clock. Pressing business will be discussed, and every member is earnestly requested to be present.
G. A. MORRISON, Pres.HARVARD SHOOTING CLUB. - There will be no meeting this week. A practice shoot will be held Tuesday morning (Washington's Birthday), when a match will be shot between the old '86 team and a picked nine. On the following Friday the first regular shoot will be held and a new series of matches opened.

(1) Resolved, That a university club would constitute an attractive feature of college life.
(2) Resolved, That modern civilization demands the abolition of large standing armies by the European States.
(3) Resolved, That United States senators should be elected by the people.
