During the foot-ball season just ended, the Yale eleven scored 515 points to 12 for opponents. The record is as follows: Yale vs. Wesleyan, 38-0; Yale vs. Wesleyan, 106-0; Yale vs. Williams, 74-0; Yale vs. University of Pennsylvania, 50-0; Yale vs. Rutgers, 74-0; Yale vs. Crescents, 68-0; Yale vs. Wesleyan, 76-4: Yale vs. Princeton, 12-0; Yale vs. Harvard, 17-8. Wesleyan made the first touchdown it has ever secured against a Yale eleven.
Candidates for the Yale University crew are now rowing on the harbor. Immediately after Christmas they will go to the training table and take up regular gymnasium work and long runs.
Applicants for the Loan Fund should follow the rules given in the catalogue in regard to applications for this fund. Among the great number of applications received by the Dean, a large majority have not observed the rules.
Mr. Horace E. Scudder will address the Historical Society to-morrow evening in 7 Hollis. His paper will be on the fund left by Benjamin Franklin for school purposes in Boston and Philadelphia. This fund now amounts to about $250,000.
The Harvard 'Varsity eleven during the past season played eleven games, winning all but one and making 660 points against 23 by opponents. The record of games is as follows: With Tufts, 86-0; Exeter, 68-0; Tech., 62-0; Williams, 52-6; Amherst, 98-0; Tufts, 68-0; Exeter, 54-0; Weslevan, 110-0; Princeton, 12-0; U. of Penn., 42-0; Yale, 8-17.
