The postponement of the foot-ball games yesterday was to be expected, but, nevertheless, the management should receive praise for their action. "Sand" has its uses, but with the thermometer sunk as low as it was yesterday it would have been folly to have compelled men to play for the glory of their class, while offering them a valuable opportunity never to enjoy that distinction in the future.
