For Wesleyan, Beattys, the captain and quarter-back, Manchester and Slayback, did good work. As to Harvard, the whole team should have the credit of playing good foot-ball. If the men continue to do conscientious work, there is no reason why we should not have a fair chance to beat Yale and Princeton.
The teams were made up as follows:
Wesleyan-Rushers, Floy, Glen, Heath, Wells, Eaton, Richards and McDonald; quarter-back, Beattys; half-backs, Manchester and Hamlin; full-back, Slayback.
Harvard-Rushers, Bancroft, Butler, Trafford, Markoe, Woodman, Piper and Cumnock; quarter-back, Harding; half-backs, Holden and Porter; full-back, Sears.
Referee, Mr. J. A. Hodge, Princeton; umpire, Mr. Fiske, Harvard, '86.
