Fact and Rumor.

There is greet activity at Cornell in all branches of athletics except base-ball. The crews, football team, lacrosse and tennis players are all hard at work to win championships for their college.

The following men from '88 were elected last evening to the Historical Society: Adams, Bailey, Garrison, Loeb, Palmer, Peale, F. B'y Williams.

The work in N. H. 4a will regularly consist of four hour's work a week in the laboratory. Lectures will be given from time to time as they are needed. Due notice of them will be given in the CRIMSON and on the bulletin boards. When there is a lecture the Monday and Tuesday hour's laboratory work will be omitted.

Morrison, M. S., the champion heavy weight boxer of the college, is at present trying for centre-rush on the 'Varsity eleven.

The Exeter foot-ball team has been finally chosen and consists of the following men: Rushers, Cranston, centre; Brooks and Hill, ends; Knowles and Frazer, guards; Stickney and Wales, tacklers; Harding, quarter-back, McClung and Morrison, half-backs; Farquhar, full-back. Eight of this team played on last year's eleven.

The Yale News urges the sophomore class to contribute money to buy trophies for last year's freshman crew. It says that though they could not arrange a race with Harvard their work was none the less creditable and should be rewarded.

The forty-first Annual Convention of Delta Kappa Epsilon takes place at Chicago, to day and to-morrow. It is expected that delegates from thirty-one different colleges and thirteen alumni associations will be present.
