The CRIMSON has taken it upon itself once or twice before to give fatherly and homely advice to its readers. It will now assume the role once more, in these times of terror and woe which have come upon us, and seek to instill some good precepts in the minds of those not morituros, but about to try examinations. In the words of a recent ethical pamphlet, "don't" stay up all night cramming just before an examination. Go to bed earlier than usual whether you know anything or not. It is better to know less and be able to express it in the blue book than to know more, and be too muddled and tired to remember it. This working until breakfast with a wet towel around your head is very romantic when you tell it to your sympathizing lady friends, but it is of no use in actual practise. Finally don't study up to the last moment. Take a good breakfast then take a shave and a quiet smoke between 9 and 10 o'clock and then go into the examination room with a clear head and a calm philosophic frame of mind.
