We extand our most hearty congratulations to the class of eighty-nine for the victory which its nine gained yesterday afternoon, adding thereby new laurels to Harvard's fame in athletics. The assurance, without over confidence, which we have exhorted the freshman nine to display in their contests on the ball field, has at last been shown and has brought to them the predicted victory. '89 deserves and receives the thanks of the college at large. Let us hope that the conclusion of the series with the Yale freshmen will be as gratifying as is the result of yesterday's game. The freshmen must not relax their offorts one whit, for a game at New Haven is yet to be played.
