A glorious victory remembered! The '89 Technology tug-of-war team have been presented with silver cups to commemorate their victory over '88 at their winter meeting: happy freshmen!
The additional expense of sending the freshmen crew to New London will be only $350, instead of $1,000 as first reported. It will cost about $1,000 in all; but $650 of this amount would be required, as it always has been of previous classes, to fit out the crew for the first time. The following men are candidates for the Yale freshman nine. Dann, (who catches for the 'varsity), Wilkinson, and Kennedy for pitcher: Fitzgerald, Shelton, and Osburne for catcher; Smith, Greer, Mason and Noyes for first, second, and third bases, and short stop respectively, and Davol, Francke, and Fitzgerald for the out field. The men work well together and their batting is strong. Most of them will stay in New Haven during the Easter reress.
